5.0 star star star star starShe is warm, caring and always follows a patient first mindset. She discusses POC, informs of best practices but also gracefully respects/addresses parents concerns and questions. I always feel like I am in the driver seat for my children’s care but have the absolute best pediatrician to guide my decisions. I recognize healthcare can be a busy environment with heavy caseloads but there has never been a moment where I feel rushed or that our care is compromised due to time constraints or poor chart review.

5.0 star star star star starThe best! She listens, very personable, talks to kids at their level, explains everything to parents and kids. Very thorough and engaged with the family.. even asks about "kids" who have outgrown her care. Again, the best!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Jao was very thorough with our baby’s exam. She answered all of mine and my husbands questions and concerns. She has a very kind bedside manner. We feel very lucky that she was covering the hospital the day our baby was born because we wouldn’t have met her otherwise. We would highly recommend her as a pediatrician.

5.0 star star star star starI always have like Dr Jao, but today I had an exceptional experience. Firstly, she had no available appointments when I scheduled, so I agreed to see another doctor. They called me and immediately were able to get me in with Dr Jao, as I had already previously been discussing some concerns with her. She listened to my concerns as well as listened to what my daughter had to say and displayed so much care and compassion. She was never dismissive and thoroughly checked out everything to make sure nothing was being missed or overlooked. I am grateful for her and how she cared for my daughter and took in everything my daughter said as well as my concerns. I cannot express how grateful I was for our appointment today.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Jao always takes the time to listen and give advice. I really appreciate as well that in the past when my son has had a minor cold or a rash Dr. Jao is great about responding via MyChart if I reach out with any concerns.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
